Durante un progetto di ricerca che ha coinvolto gli abitanti di Orpheus Island, un'isola australiana sita nel Mar dei Coralli, un team di scienziati ha scoperto il pi\u00f9 ampio corallo della Grande Barriera Corallina. Chiamato \"Muga dhambi\", si estende per oltre 10 metri ed \u00e8 alto 5,3 metri. Secondo i biologi ha un'et\u00e0 stimata tra 421 e 438 anni, ma \u00e8 minacciato dalle spugne e dai cambiamenti climatici.
