Secondo quanto riporta <em>Bloomberg<\/em>, l\u2019offerta del fondo di <strong>Bill Ackman <\/strong>prevede 30,40 euro per azione: il 78 per cento in pi\u00f9 rispetto all\u2019ultima chiusura (a 17,10 euro) della <strong>Borsa di Amsterdam<\/strong>, dove \u00e8 quotato il colosso del settore discografico, che secondo la societ\u00e0 \u00e8 sottovalutato dai mercati azionari. Gli azionisti che aderiranno all&#8217;offerta 5,05 euro per azione e 0,77 azioni della nuova societ\u00e0 per ogni azione Umg posseduta. Il successo dell&#8217;operazione dipender\u00e0 in larga misura dalla decisione di <strong>Vincent Bollor\u00e9<\/strong>, che controlla il 18,5 per cento di Universal Music come azionista di maggioranza. <strong>Vivendi<\/strong>, a sua volta controllata dalla famiglia Bollor\u00e9, detiene un ulteriore 10 per cento. Ackman, che ha progressivamente ridotto la sua quota nell&#8217;etichetta, oggi ha in mano il 4,74 per cento.
